

Mary Louise Hale, 80, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born April 7, 1931 in Shiloh, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Louise (Hoffman) O’Connor.
Mary graduated from St. Peter’s Catholic High School and enjoyed cookbooks, recipes and shopping. Devoted to her family, she was a homemaker her entire life and had worked as a beautician.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Kim) Hale and Randy (Jan) Hale, both of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Jason (Julie) Hale, Melissa (Ryan) Kilgore, Jessica Hale, Brent (Bridgett) McKenna, Matthew Hale, Jeremy Hale and Trustin Hale, all of Mansfield; two step grandchildren, Jesse White and Jeremy White, both of Mansfield; five great-grandchildren, Kooper, Keatyn, Jace, Rachel, Hunter, and one on the way; a sister, Margaret “Peg” DeCapio of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend and caregiver to Mary over the past few years, Marlene Boggs of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Hale; daughter, Rochelle L. Hale; great-grandson, Jaxon; two brothers, John and James O’Connor; and a daughter-in-law, Joan M. Griffen Hale.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Christopher R. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
