

Mary Evelyn Swisher Hale, age 94, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011. Born October 23, 1916 in Richland County, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Hazel (Dickson) Swisher. Mary graduated from Weller High School in 1934 and worked as a receptionist/bookkeeper for Drs. Schettler, Frush and Ludwig. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clayton Roland Hale in 1990.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Parr-Wigton (Timothy) of Mansfield and Joan Garner (Mark) of Hilliard; four grandchildren, Kim DeNero-Ackroyd (Jeffrey) of Cleveland Heights, Tecca Potina (Dominic) of Galena, Benjamin Parr (Katie) of West Salem and Mitchell Parr (Jessica) of Gahanna; and two great-grandchildren, Vincent and Anthony Potina. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Stevens Wolford; two brothers, Russell and Paul Swisher; and a son-in-law, Ronald Parr.
Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Additional visitation will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Faith Proietti will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
