Mary Madden

Mary Elizabeth Madden, 83, of 1520 Oak Run Court, Mansfield, Ohio died unexpectedly Monday, December 4, 2000 at her residence in Florida. She was born on February 13, 1917 in Olive Hill, KY to Luther & Loretta Whitt Sammons. Mrs. Madden attended Moorehead State University and served in the U.S. Navy.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Madden of Mansfield, Ohio; a daughter and a son-in-law, Nancy & Noel Stevens of Mansfield; a son and a daughter-in-law, Stephen & Janet Madden of Lexington, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Robert, Troy, Katherine, Benjamin, David and Camron; three great-grandchildren; one niece, Karen Marken of Ft. Collins, Colorado and a nephew, Paul Besenti of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther & Loretta Sammons; two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, December 6, 2000 from 7-9 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Dr. Wray C. Smith. Burial will be held at the Zehner Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
