Mary E. Miller

Mary E. Miller, 89, of Ashland, passed away Saturday morning, August 19, 2017, at University Hospitals-Samaritan Hospital. She was born October 5, 1927, in Richland County, Ohio, to the late Frank E. and Hazel R. (Boals) Stimpert.

She was a graduate of Union High School and worked at Gerald's Studio and Young's IGA. Mary loved her time at the Stimpert Farm.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Patricia Stimpert; five nephews and one niece, Fred (Mary) Stimpert, Larry (Cathy) Stimpert, Rick (Susan) Stimpert, Gary (Angie) Lehman, Sara (Jim) Sloan and David (Tammy) Grauer; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Skeeter" Miller, whom she married on September 26, 1959; brothers, Edwin and Larry Stimpert; and sisters, Violet Lehman and Dorothy Grauer.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Olivesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Olivesburg United Methodist Church, 4748 OH-545, Ashland, OH 44805. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
