Mary Price

Mary E. Price, 87, of Mansfield died Friday September 12, 2008 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. Mary was born November 16, 1920 in Mansfield, Ohio to Edgar Ambrose & Elizabeth A. Gowley Lee. Mary had been a bookkeeper for Standard Oil where she retired also at Dan & Mike's Sohio. She had also worked at the American Knitting Mill and Mansfield Tire and Cigarette Sales. Mary was an avid bingo player, enjoys crocheting and playing family card games. She is survived by three sons, Paul Sandra Price, Dannie Caryl Price and Chester Price all of Mansfield; two daughters, Esther "Sue" Adkins of Mansfield and Barbara Dan Compton of Zephyr Hills, Florida; 13 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Baith of Akron; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Nick Wray. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald F. "Mike" Price in 1991; two sons Gerald Jr. and Robert Lee Price; four brothers, William, Richard, Robert and Eugene Lee; two sisters, Margaret Parsons and Mildred Wade; one grandson, Gerald Adkins; one great grandson, Travis Elkins. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday September 16, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral service will be Wednesday at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. conducted by Roy Hostetter. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
