

Melody Carolyn Eskins McClaran, 54, of Frisco, Texas died early Saturday morning, January 18, 2003 at the home of her mother, following an extended illness. Mrs. Eskins was born February 11, 1948 in Wooster, Ohio to Marion D. and Jeanne I. McClaran Miller. Before moving to Texas, she lived in Mansfield for 47 years and was employed for 20 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation. She was the owner and operator of Melody's Home Enterprises in Texas. Melody loved being with her family, home decorating, golfing and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Spike Eskins; daughter, Tawny Warnes of Lexington; mother, Jeanne McClaran of Mansfield; four granddaughters, Kaitlynn, Kirsten, Vanessa and Kayla; two stepchildren, Kristie Straley and Jeff Eskins; a sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Hal Hornyak of Mansfield; three brothers and their spouses, Terry Jones of Wooster, Ron and Linda McClaran and Tim and Kathi McClaran, all of Ontario; three nieces, Erika, Dennise and Kristi; four nephews, Ryan, Jason, Brock and Xavier; and her lap dog, Gus. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion McClaran and brother, Michael J. Christy.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday, January 20 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Larry Collins. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 1756 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
