Melvin Wiseman

Melvin E. Wiseman, 61, of Mansfield, died Monday, December 18, 2006, at his home after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Born March 28, 1945, in Millersburg, he was the son of George and Ida Huffman Wiseman. He was employed at General Motors for 26 years. Melvin was a member of Mansfield Masonic Lodge #35, F.&A.M., Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, Mansfield Shrine Club and Son of Amvets #26.

He is survived by three sons, Darin Wiseman, Kevin Wiseman and Rodney Wiseman, all of Mansfield; a daughter, Heather Gremling of Ontario; stepson, Brian Milligan of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Savannah, Cole, Gavin, Mya, Daron and Brycie; two brothers, Ron Wiseman of Port Clinton and John Wiseman of Portland, OR; three sisters, Pat Ashcraft of Utah, Barbara Baker of Pine Blugg, AR and Georgia Mantos of Florida; and a special friend, Deb Parker. His parents preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Pastor Bruce Copley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5:00-6:00pm.
