Michael Boyd

Michael Wayne Boyd, age 49, of 345 Fairlawn Ave. died Monday, September 24, 2001 at James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Boyd was born December 23, 1951 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the area most of his life. He was a sales manager at Whitey's Auto Mall. He was a member of Amvets #26, Owls, and Elks #56. He loved golfing, bowling, and softball.

He is survived by his parents, George & Juanita Compton Boyd of Mansfield; a daughter, Erin Slusher of Mansfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary & Judy Boyd of Mansfield and Keith & Pam Boyd of Westerville, Ohio; his partner, Laura McClain of Mansfield; nephews and their spouses, Brian & Colleen Boyd of Columbus, Derek & Deanna Boyd of Wooster, and Jonathan Boyd, Casey Boyd, and Dillon Boyd, all of Westerville, Ohio; and a great nephew, Ryan Boyd of Wooster. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Boyd.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, September 27, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Doyle Peyton. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
