Michael David Doherty

Michael David Doherty, age 66, of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at OhioHealth, Mansfield. He was born November 4, 1959, in British Columbia, Canada, to Lawrence and Margaret (Barton) Doherty.

He enjoyed video games, woodworking, fishing, and collecting sports cards. He deeply loved his dog, Jedi, who was a constant companion. He had a big heart, and family meant everything to him. He was a good man, a devoted husband, and a loving father and he will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and love.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Mathis; daughters, Shirleyann and Amanda; four grandchildren; 4 stepchildren, Amanda, Arthur, Amber and Zack; 6 step grandchildren; and three siblings, Terry, Shelly, and Tracy.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Holly, brother Lawrence, and great step grandson, Aiden.

There will be no visitation or service observed.
