

Michael A. Fleming, 61, of Mansfield passed away early Thursday morning, December 19, 2013 at Hospice House in Ashland following an extended battle with cancer. He was born October 8, 1952 in Lancaster, Ohio.
Mike most recently worked at Nestle and had previously been employed at Federal Express, Big Bear, Schwebel's Bakery, Nickles Bakery and Graham Chevrolet. He had a love of everything Harley Davidson, owning a Super Glide motorcycle and had a special interest in muscle cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, painting models and ceramics, and watching the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Clear Fork Colts football. His favorite activity was reading stories to his adored grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce D. Gilpatrick Fleming, long-time resident of Bellville; two children, Jenni (Ryan) Glasener of Lexington and Chad Fleming of Columbus; two treasured grandsons, Chase and Creighton Glasener; his parents, James and Maryann Nye Fleming of Mansfield; two sisters, Kathy (Gary) Hicks of OK and Lisa (Terry) Hicks of Mansfield; a brother, James (Diane) Fleming of AZ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and sister, Debbie Arnett.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Samuel Wright officiating.
