Michael "Mike" Dorsey

Mike was born on February 14, 1961 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of Harold A. Dorsey and Alice (Brown) Coleman. Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne. Mike has lived the past 11 years in Texas. He was a truck driver and for the past 34 years he has been doing what he loved. He always enjoyed adding chrome to his truck. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and was a member of Harley Hogs. His sense of humor was great. He loved joking and putting a smile on people's face.

Mike leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Sherry Spencer Dorsey; his daughter, Mikayla (PJ) Kahl of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Matt Parrish, John Kahl II, and Marlee Kahl; his sister, Michele Dorsey of Columbus; his brothers, Harold Dorsey II of Columbus and John Dorsey of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Julia Dorsey; and his grandson, Anthony Parrish.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Mansfield Alliance Church, 291 W. Cook Road. Services will follow immediately following at 11:00 am with Pastor Dale Patrick officiating. The Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad will perform military honors following the service. Mike will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ASPCA. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Dorsey family. The family requests that all guests wear a face covering and maintain appropriate social distancing during their visit.
