Micheal "Mike" R. Greene

Micheal "Mike" R. Greene, 71, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born April 5, 1947 in Bellville, Ohio, he was the son of Stanley C. and Donna (Ryan) Greene.

Micheal graduated from Clearfork High School and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Mansfield Fire Department after 25 years of service. He was a stubborn and very independent man who enjoyed being outdoors hunting or fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shirley (Gwirtz) Greene; two daughters, Tina (David) Becherer of Lucas and Elana (Rick) Hoffman of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Rodney (Jill) Dunn of Carollton, Georgia, Matt Dunn of Burbank, Ohio and Maleah (Ben) Derhammer of Burbank, Ohio; three great grandchildren, Ralen Dunn, Rory Derhammer and Hallie Derhammer; a brother, Joe (Joy) Greene of Bellville; a brother-in-law, John "Sonny" Gwirtz; numerous nieces and nephews; and his pet poodle, Gracie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Gwirtz and Joanne Mosley.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
