
Mildred L. Berry, 81, of 535 Lexington Ave. passed away Friday, January 8, 2000 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Berry was born May 4, 1918 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the area all of her life. Mildred was the executive secretary for Warren Rupp Co. for many years. Prior to that she was the secretary/treasurer of the Community Chest and an employee of Westinghouse. She will be remembered most by her family and friends for her birthday cards, well wishes, and Christmas cards. She was a member of Bridge Singles, Alpha Epsilon Chapter Sorority, and the Child Guidance Club. She was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Janet Berry; a brother, Howard Hershey; three sisters, Beverly Lewis, Patricia Reamsnider, and Carol Piroska; four grandchildren, Ed Berry, James Berry, Matthew Weygandt, and Michelle Weygandt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Innes & Alverda Hutzelman Hershey; her husband, Edgar John Berry; and a son, Edgar John Berry II.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services to be held Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Dr. Blake Wagner. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church.
