Mildred Nikolaus

Mildred E. Nikolaus, 91, of Mansfield, Ohio died November 10, 2000 at home. She was born on February 26, 1909 in Lexington, Ohio to Charles & Anna Scheier. Mrs. Nikolaus was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl & Harold Horn of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Karla & her spouse, Tom Mitchell, Tonya & her spouse, Joseph Johnson all of Mansfield; Donald Rice of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Nikolaus of Mansfield; four great-grandchildren, Katie & Kara Mitchell of Butler, Brittany Eater and Derek Johnson both of Mansfield; a sister, Verena Weiss of Oak Harbor, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Nikolaus, a son, Duane Nikolaus both in 1974, a sister, Mary Burghard and a brother, Earl Scheier.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley and assisted by Rev. Marcus Buehrer. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ.
