Misty Zehfus

Misty Reneé Zehfus, 37, of Ontario, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born June 26, 1974 in Johnson City, Tennessee to Roger and Mona (Sarvey) Zehfus.

Misty graduated from Ontario High School in 1992 and received her Associate Degree from North Central State College in Office Administration and Criminal Justice where she was an honor student. She enjoyed cross stitch and had an extensive selection of Snoopy collectibles. Misty attended Assembly of God Church and she now rests in peace with the Lord.

She is survived by her parents, Roger and Mona Zehfus of Ontario; her dog, Sky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A funeral service conducted by Rev. Thomas Blair will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Contributions in memory of Misty may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma research.
