
Monna K. Lomax, 66, of Mansfield, died Sunday evening, May 11, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 6, 1941 in Ashland, she was the daughter of Raymond and Thelma Harper Myers. An area homemaker her entire life, she was a member of First Alliance Church where she was active in Bible studies and prayer groups. Monna especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Marvin F. Lomax; seven children, Mike Robin Gowitzka of Shiloh, Mike Lomax, Philip Fatma Gowitzka and Dena Lomax, all of Shelby, Steven Gowitzka of Norwalk, Roxanne Cliff Phillips of Mansfield and Scott Lomax of Columbus; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a brother, Ronnie Joann Myers of Ashland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and stepmother.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 14 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Memorial services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in First Alliance Church with Rev. Steve Burggraf officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Commission Fund at First Alliance Church, 291 W. Cook Rd., Mansfield, OH 44907.
