Myron Burdell Burris, 95, of Mansfield, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Myron was born on September 7, 1923 in Pliny, West Virginia, the son of Stanley and Grace (Lanier) Burris.
Myron was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army. Myron retired from ACE TV where he began his time there as an apprentice and then purchased the business. After his retirement he was employed at Walmart for 12 years. Many would say that Myron was a workaholic. A strong willed and determined man who worked hard in life.
Myron will be dearly missed by his children, Nancy (Jim) Rohde, Ronald (Vanessa) Burris, and Stan Burris; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Minnie Burris; and his six siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. Pastor William Fox will officiate the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice.
