
Myron 'Mike' Clinton Linn, 68, of Mansfield, died Monday, February 28, 2005, in Springfield, Ohio, following a short illness. Mike was born May 25, 1936, in Nevada, Ohio, to Ralph A. Linn and Mary B. Outhwaite Linn. Mike was raised in Bucyrus, Ohio and moved to Mansfield in 1958, to work in the pattern maker division at General Motors. He worked at GM for 38 years before retiring. Mike was a member of Venus Masonic Lodge #152, F. & A.M., Lions Club, Moose Lodge #341, and U.A.W. Local 546. He served in the Army Reserves and in various committees at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontario.
Mike is survived by his wife of 24 years, Diane Vanderpool Linn; father-in-law, Paul Vanderpool; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Ann Linn of Ontario; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Joe Thompson of Mansfield, Laura and Marc Shelton of Sheffield, Ohio, Lesli and Chris Claflin of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Debra Augustus, and Denise and her husband, Gary Holmes, all of Mansfield; stepson, Paul and his wife Cindy Augustus of Portland, Tenn.; twenty-five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, March 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2010 Park Avenue West, Saturday, March 5, at 1:00 p.m. with a reception following in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mike's name to the American Diabetes Association Memorial and Honor's Program, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.
