Nancy Burton

Nancy C. Burton, 78, of Ontario, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at her home. Born August 14, 1936 in Butler, she was the daughter of Wayne and Suzanne (Shrader) Danals. Nancy was a 1954 graduate of Ontario High School. She worked for Ohio Bell for numerous years as well as Therm-O-Disc for 14 years. She retired from AVI Food Systems where she worked for more than 25 years. Nancy was always on the go. An avid golfer, she loved traveling to casinos, playing bingo, or shopping. Visiting friends and family was a main priority for Nancy. She was very active in her grandchildren's lives, traveling wherever she needed to see them. Selfless and honest to the core, Nancy was always there for others. Even to the very end, she found a way to make her family laugh in her last days.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Burton, whom she married March 8, 1958; children, Jeff (Cathy) Burton, Doug (Terri) Burton, Steve (Carol) Burton, Jennifer (Bobby) Gamble, and Amy (Rick) Jones; grandchildren, Josh, Jerod, Jordan, Jessica, Steven, Tyler, Nicki, Kati, Holly, Shelby, Chase, Emily, and Trent; great grandchildren, Mila, Hadley, Olyvia, Christopher, Cooper, Madison, Stella, and Austin; siblings, Larry (Kay) Danals, Carolyn (Duane) Hoover, Ed (Sandy) Danals, and Danny (Ilde) Danals.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joey, and brother Walter Ray Danals.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. Bruce Roth will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Friends may call prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family so that the family can distribute them to Nancy's favorite charities.
