

Neal Baker, 74, of Lakeville, Ohio passed away Sunday evening at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Neal was born October 21, 1929 in Canton, Ohio to Archie Bennett & Dorothy Piero Baker. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a BS and also attended Kent State and the University of Guam where he received his Masters Degree. Neal was a dairy farmer for 15 years and had also taught high school science class for three years at Sandy Valley. He was a School administrator in Saipan, Mariana Islands for nine years and had taught for one year at the International School in Jakarta, Indonesia and was a teacher and maintenance supervisor for St. Anthony High School in Maui, HI for fifteen years. He enjoyed traveling, building things from houses to dams, water and electrical systems, tractor repair and use.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Baker; daughter, Susie Seui of Derby, England; son and daughter-in-law, Neal & Sharon Baker of Lakeville, Ohio; son, James Baker of Maui, Hawaii; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine & Steven Boyer of Wooster; eleven grandchildren and five great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean C. Baker of Atlanta, Ga.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services held. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
