Nevada L. Collmar, 44, of Mansfield, passed away early Sunday morning, November 5, 2017 at his home. He was born February 27, 1973, in Barberton, Ohio, to Chester Edwin Collmar and Debra Kay Blair Collmar Carver.
Nevada married his high school sweetheart, Mariann Lee Muntan on February 5, 2000 and they had been together since 1988. A strong man who always took care of those he loved, Nevada and his wife took in many foster children over the years in addition to raising his own four children. He made certain his home was open to anyone in need. Nevada was loving, kind, generous and compassionate and leaves a legacy to be treasured by all who knew him.
He owned and operated numerous auto shops, most recently, Nevada's Tire and Auto on Springmill St. and was the best mechanic around. In his free time, Nevada enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, reading and watching Westerns. Although his words could be a bit off-color sometimes, if Nevada wasn't teasing you, then he was upset with you.
He is survived by the love of his life for 30 years, Mariann Collmar; four children, Chaz Collmar, Chasiti Collmar (Robert Jacobs), Nevada Collmar Jr. and Roxann Collmar; five grandchildren, Antonio Setser, Bryden Lozier, Raelynn Setser, Madilyn Collmar and Kalianna Collmar; and numerous extended and foster children and grandchildren including Mickey Wallace, Jamie King, Chris Putney, Mikey Schnuerer and Nick Storms. Nevada is also survived by his father, Chester Collmar; step-father, Ted Carver; seven siblings, Stacey Collmar, Tyona Collmar, Darcy Collmar, Chet Collmar, Shelly Carver, Josh Collmar and Veronica Collmar; two sisters-in-law, Tesla Baich and Jenni Deskins; many nieces and nephews; uncle, Kenny Gorman; and his faithful canine companion, Sally Jo Jenson Collmar.
Nevada is preceded in death by his mother and best friend, Debra Carver; two foster sons, Cody Wolfgang and B.J. Ricer; two uncles, "favorite" Bob Linton and Bay; and best friend Brian Lozier.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield. Memorial contributions to the family may be made in care of Wappner Cremation Center.
