

Nora “Toddy” Amstutz, 92, of Ontario, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Elmcroft of Ontario. Born November 15, 1920 in Morrow County, she was the daughter of J. Harry and Norah Gladys (James) Brown. Nora graduated from Adario High School in 1938 and married her husband, Ralph Dean Amstutz in 1941. Farming alongside her husband on her own tractor, she not only did the field works, but she would also cook dinner for all the farm hands. Family and religion were very important to Nora. She was a longtime member of Shenandoah Christian Church where she was very active with fundraisers and making apple butter. Nora also belonged to Christian Women’s Fellowship for many years. She was a member for 50 plus years of the Richland County Homemakers Club, worked with the Election Board for Blooming Grove Twp. for 50 plus years, and volunteered for RSVP and Ohio District 5 Area of Aging.
She is survived by her daughters, Judi (Russ) Saurers and Deanna Livingston; grandchildren, Tara (Kris) Eckert, Robert Kipp, Keith (Heather) Kipp, Shellie Price, and David Livingston; great grandchildren, Ben (Brittany) Eckert, Dustin Eckert, Chris, Candice, Ryan, Zackary, Kayla, and Keith Kipp, Rebecca and Kaylee Price, Brooke Holmes, Ashten Livingston, and Taylor Elliot; great great grandchildren, Audreana Kipp and Mila Paz; brother, Harry (Ann) Brown, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph, in 1999; grandson, Todd Saurers, sisters, Marguerite Brown and Virginia Enzor; and brothers, Robert and Loy Brown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Christian Church, 5642 State Route 13 N., Shiloh, OH, conducted by Tom McFadden. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Christian Church or MedCentral Hospice.
