

Paralee Murphy, 77, of Galion, OH died January 30, 2014. Born February 29, 1936 in Clintwood, VA she was the daughter of George Washington and Lola Ellen (Mullins) Wallace. Paralee had a true love for The Lord and loved to worship. She spent much time studying her Bible and taught Sunday School. Paralee always had a lesson to teach her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She is survived by her daughters, Gwen (Jim) Massie-Kowalak of Galion and Connie (Dave) Dixon of Marion; grandchildren, Jason (Shelley) Dixon of Galion, Valarie Glass of Marion, John Christopher Murphy of GA, Briana (Shawn) Bartley of Crestline, and Cynthia (Kyle) Stitzel of Crestline; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Jay Wallace, Primmel Wallace, Fred (Lois) Wallace, and Kenneth Potter; sister, Barb (Dewey) Bartley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paralee was preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy; parents; son, Johnie Dean Murphy; grandson, Joey Dixon; and brothers, Frank and Jethrow Wallace.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
