

Patricia D. Constance, 82, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, May 4, 2018, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born May 22, 1935, in Newville, Ohio, one of eight children of the late Chester and Nellie (Freeman) Byerly.
Pat graduated from Lucas High School. She married Roland "Skip" Constance in October 1953. They had celebrated 64 years of marriage until his passing on January 9, 2018. Pat loved being with her family and especially enjoyed her "girl trips" with her sisters and mother to Florida. Pat was always the life of the party. A full time, hard working mom who was always busy, she worked at Bank One in Lucas for at least ten years. She retired from Commercial Cutting and Graphics. Her children admired her strong work ethic and dedication to her family. She enjoyed reading and golf in her free time.
She is survived by five children, Gary (Diana) Constance of Lebanon, OH, Diane (Mike) Ousley of Mansfield, Jennifer (Bill) Fininis of Hoffman Estates, IL, James (Patti) Constance of Lucas, and Matthew Constance (fiancee`, Kristi Burley) of Mansfield; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Bob (Marge) Byerly, Shirley Kanz and Carol Hall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Pat is preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Byerly and Dick Byerly; and two sisters, Norma Byerly Poth and Madge Byerly Crone.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dallas E. Waggle officiating. Additional visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mansfield Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
