Patricia Wyrick passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at OhioHealth Mansfield following a challenging struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She left this world at the age of 69 with her husband, Harold, and stepdaughter, Betty, at her side.
Patty was born March 1, 1956, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Bernard and Stella Tabor and lived most of her life in Mansfield. A 1974 graduate of Madison High School, Patty excelled in Girl Scouts and spent her youth enjoying Liberty Park Pool where she taught Red Cross swimming lessons to children and adults for many years.
Always a hard worker, Patty worked at Essix Wire in Lexington, Juvenile Detention Center, and Meijer where she retired after 20 years of service.
Her favorite enjoyment came from her many travels from cruises with her mom, aunts and other family and friends; to her regular visits to Pigeon Forge, or going “down home” to Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Patty is survived by her husband and love of her life, Harold Wyrick of Mansfield, Ohio; her step-daughter, Betty (Joe) Kleri of Mansfield; sister, Kimberly Saundra Tabor of Mansfield, Ohio; brother-in-law, Joe Henderson of Mansfield; a special aunt and uncle, Judy and Leroy Stone with whom she and Harold shared a double wedding; as well as aunts, Vigie (Carol) Barker, Betty (Roger) Bailey; uncle, Roger Bond; and countless other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Stricklin of Mansfield, Ohio; her father, Bernard Tabor of Mansfield, Ohio; sister, Sheila Henderson of Mansfield, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Pete Wyrick of Mansfield, Ohio, Herman Wyrick of Masa, AR; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Wyrick Carpenter of Lexington, OH and Marie Wyrick Bhar of Mansfield, OH.
Special thanks go out to the OhioHealth Hospice for all their support and care over the years.
The family is honoring Patty’s wishes to not have any services and to simply rest at home with Harold. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. This was Patty’s favorite charity.
Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Wyrick family.
