
Pat attended Mansfield Senior High School and worked 20 years for Westinghouse and 15 years for Fuji Films from which she retired. She had a heart of gold but also was on the feisty side with a strong personality. She was a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church and enjoyed playing BINGO and watching wrestling, basketball and golf.
She is survived by her husband of 50 + years, Jessie Powell of Mansfield; a son, Michael (Beverly) Schafer of Mansfield; two daughters, Brenda (Barry) Lawrence of Mansfield and Angela Howard of Columbus; a step son, Ben Johnson of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Noblett; a sister-in-law, Sandra Schafer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael J. Jackson; a brother, George W. Schafer, Jr.; and a sister, Mildred Carsey.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Elder Tillman Franklin and Minister Barry Lawrence. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
