

Paul Finlayson, 60, of Worthington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his home. He was born January 10, 1954 -the oldest of six children- in Chicago, Illinois to Betty Adell (Walker) and George Drew Finlayson.
He graduated from St. Peter's Catholic High School in 1972, earned his Bachelor Degree from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Capital University. He worked much of his adult life as a Medical Office Manager at various doctor offices in Columbus. Bright, outspoken and sociable, he was generous, giving all he had to anyone in need. Paul was a family man, preferring to spend his free time in their company. He had a great sense of humor. His home displayed his love of gardening. He was a collector of anything unusual and had a special interest in knives and tools.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Beth (Phil) McClain, Jean Finlayson (Larry Mandarino), Ann (Larry) Marquis and Julia Finlayson (Randy Teets); and a brother, Douglas Finlayson (James Brooks). He was affectionately known as "Uncle Pot Roast" by his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
A funeral service conducted by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The family will receive friends in the funeral home following the service until 6:00 p.m. Private family burial will take place in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
