Paul E. Latimer, age 75, transitioned into eternal life with Jesus on Thursday February 21, 2019. Paul would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be working on special projects, inventing new things, enjoying music, water-skiing, dancing, and laughing. Paul is now enjoying true life, the way God intended, with no pain, no disease, no hatred, and such. He wants his friends and family to also make their arrangements to meet him in heaven someday. The tickets come by way of accepting God's free gift of forgiveness.
Paul was born September 1, 1943 in Shelby, OH. A 1962 graduate of Union Local School, he spent most of his adult life employed at Springfield Mold and Die as a tool and die maker and machinist. He spent his time tinkering and inventing. Clock making and solar power were other passions that he devoted countless hours to.
Paul is survived by two children. One daughter, Kelly (Keith) Stamper of Ontario and one son, Russ Latimer of New Orleans, LA. Three grandchildren, Sidney (Matt) Smith of Bucyrus, and Kidron and Brooklyn Stamper of Ontario. Two great-grandchildren Malakai and Genesis Smith. Three sisters, Mary Ellen (Marshall) Pruner of Shiloh, Sandra (Duane) Niebel of Brooksville, Florida, and Nancy Latimer of Lakeland, Florida.
Preceding Paul in death were his parents, George and Margaret (King) Latimer, and one younger brother, John.
A celebration of Paul's life will be at Love Action Church 376 Park Road Crestline, OH on Sunday March 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm. There are no calling hours. A meal will be served at the conclusion of the service. Son-in-law, Keith Stamper will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Love Action Church or the American Cancer Society.
Wappner Cremation Center is privileged to serve the family.
