
Paul Clifford Myers, 82, of Mansfield, died Saturday, February 02, 2008, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born April 11, 1925, in Howesville, WV, he was the son of James & Hazel Hartman Myers. He was a self-employed contractor and loved his work and his wonderful customers. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Paul loved to travel with his wife, enjoyed raising horses and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and was a season ticket holder for years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the South Philippines as a Staff Sergeant, receiving the American Theatre Ribbon, the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mildred Luedy Myers; one brother Jim Myers of Texas; two sisters-in-law, Florence Beer and Marie Stainbrook; three brothers-in-law, Eugene Luedy, Clarence & Sarah Luedy and John and Vi Luedy; numerous precious nieces and nephews, cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harlan and Carrell Myers; and one sister, Rudell Criss.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday February 4, 2008 from 4-7 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Keith McCormack officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park where full military services will be conducted by the Bellville American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to Med Central Hospice or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
