Paul S. Owens, 74, of Ashland, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his residence. Born December 29, 1934, in Ashland, he was the son of Arthur and Gertrude Mercer Owens. He attended Grace Brethren Church. Paul enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, working around the house, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Adaline Mott Owens of Ashland; son, Robert P. Owens of Savannah; daughters, Bonnie Mike Monahan of Missouri and Barbara Owens of Ashland; grandchildren, Jimmy and Jared Monahan and Chris and Toni Owens; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Trevor; half brother, Olie Cheryl Owens of Flordia; half sister, Loraine Harley Parvick of Flordia; and step mother, Ruth Owens of Flordia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no calling or services held. Burial will be held in Vermillion Cemetery at a later date. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Paul.
