
Pauline Blizzard, 84, of Mansfield died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mifflin Care Center. Born May 26, 1926 in Firebrick, KY, she was the daughter of Everett and Louise Holcomb Edwards. Pauline taught school in Firebrick before working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during World War II. She was a member of the Sons of Herman and attended several Baptist Churches. Pauline enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, but her favorite past time was reading, many times finishing a book a day.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Larry Morris of Mansfield and Linda Dyer of London, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Cris Tom Roberts, Eric Theresa Morris, Leslie Ryan Long-Doan, Stacy Nick Parsons, April Tony Nelson, Jim Anna McMullen, Derek Holly Blizzard, and Brooke Blizzard; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Irene Clay; brothers June, Richard, and Gary Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Carol McGlothlin, Kathy McGlothlin, and Brenda Kelly who helped Karen during Pauline's illness. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Edward A. Blizzard and her son, Thomas Blizzard.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Library.
