Peggy Ann Colvin, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1955, to Robert and Flossie (Majors) Reynolds, into a loving and lively family that shaped her warm and generous spirit.
Peggy worked in a variety of roles throughout her life, always bringing dedication, kindness, and a strong work ethic to everything she did. She spent many years at L & K Restaurant and Hi-Stat, later serving her community as a home health aide and through her work at Comprehension Children Services. No matter the job, Peggy’s compassion and willingness to lend a helping hand made her a cherished presence to all who knew her.
Outside of work, Peggy enjoyed a rich life filled with simple pleasures. She adored gardening and took pride in the flowers she nurtured. She could often be found watching her favorite television shows, playing cards, creating pottery, shopping, fishing, or chatting with loved ones on the phone. Cooking was her true joy—she loved preparing meals for family and friends, filling her home with warmth, good food, and laughter. Peggy had a natural gift for conversation and a tender heart for animals, always ready to care for any creature or person in need.
Peggy is survived by her children, Labreece A. Reynolds, Londale A. Colvin, and Martina A. (Abayomi) Colvin-Akindipe; her sister, Vickie M. Reynolds; brothers-in-law, Emmit Fortney and Kenny Colvin; sister-in-law, Karen Colvin; her special friend, John Gadison; honorary family; Randy Brown and Maurice Parker; and a host of extended family and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sharale A. Colvin; and her sister, Vivian L. Fortney.
