Philip Henson

Philip Jeffrey Henson, 51, of Mansfield, died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at his home. Born August 17, 1958 in Bucyrus, he was the son of Bennie D. and Virginia E. Mayes Henson. A 1976 graduate of Bucyrus High School, Jeff served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by AK Steel for 21 years. Jeff attended the Journey Life Center and was a member of Local 169 Steelworkers Union. He loved his sons and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by sons, Benjamin A. Henson of Stanford, Connecticut, Timothy T. Henson of Columbus, and Joshua H. Henson of Lake Alfred, Florida; grandchildren, Camryn and Alyssa Henson; two brothers and sister-in-law, James D. and Joni Henson, and Gary W. Henson, all of Mansfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy M. and Robert MacGowan, Sharon R. and Richard Lookabaugh, all of Mansfield, and Jenny L. and Mark Menke of Cleveland, Tennessee; 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; and true friend, Christine Henson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry W. Henson.
