

He was born April 24, 1981 in Ashland, OH. He attended both Lexington and Clear Fork Schools. “Phi” (as he was known to his loved ones) excelled in playing piano, guitar, and singing. He loved music of all genres. Whether it was Vivaldi, Janis Joplin, or the Beatles, he enjoyed them all. He had a gentle, loving soul and loved to laugh which allowed him to make many friends in his lifetime. His cat, Taylor, though, was his best buddy.
He is survived by his parents, Becky (Pierre) Goasdoue, and Dennis (Barbara) Snelson, and his sister Alana (Jeff) Gillson. He is also survived by his grandfather, Obed Snelson; two nephews, Alec Ray and Jake Chilcote; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Lou (Callihan) Peterson and paternal grandmother, Marilyn (Winn) Snelson.
Services are being handled by the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. A family and friends open house will be held in remembrance of Philip on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at his sister’s home located at 1580 Royal Oak Drive, Mansfield, OH.
