Phyllis graduated from Hoytville, Ohio in 1945 and married William H. Cox from Mansfield, Ohio, later that year. Together they had 3 children; one boy, Richard H. (Tammy) Cox and two daughters, Connie (Paul) Wymer and Becky Davis. She had been in the health care profession for 25 years as an LPN at Peoples Hospital before retirement.
In addition to her children, she is survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis had eight sisters, three in which are still living, Dorothy Irene, Virginia Smith, Freda Merrick, Alvina Joan Doyle, Shirley Smith, Lora Lye Langer, Lyla Lee and Beverly Gerdamen.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the family.
