
Ralph 'Ralphie' Randall Bowling, 29, of Mansfield died unexpectedly August 31, 2006. Ralphie was born December 15, 1976, in Galion, Ohio, to Ralph and Jan Rutt Bowling. He was employed as a chef with Chipotle Restaurant. Ralph loved to cook and was formerly the executive chef at Sweet Basil Eatery, participating in their local TV cooking show, The Plentiful Kitchen. He loved his family, enjoyed golf, shooting pool, and watching NASCAR racing. Ralph was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and loved being one of the 'Bowling Boys'. He was a graduate of Ontario High School in 1995 where he was in the marching band, and he also was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Art Institute in 2004.
He is survived by his father, Ralph and Kathy Bowling of Fremont; mother, Jan Bowling of Ontario; grandmother, Emmaline Bowling of Shelby; uncles and aunts, Raymond and Sharon Bowling of Shelby, Roy and Gayle Bowling, Maxine Radabaugh, Troy and Charity Bowling, John and Ann Bowling, all of Mansfield, Cindy Ronk of Ontario; William and Linda Rutt of Wooster, and Deborah Stone of Rialto, CA; cousins, Harold Cress and family of Crestline, Kay Adams and family, Bev Whaley, all of Shelby, and Kathy Webb and family of Kentucky; a step brother and step sister, James Yates of Houston, TX and StephAn Carter and family of Brunswick. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray Bowling and John and Miriam Rutt, uncle, Bill Bowling and cousin, Will Whaley.
Friends may call at the Diamond Hills Baptist Church Thursday, September 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Christopher Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
