Ralph G. Rogers

Ralph G. Rogers, 78, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born October 1, 1940 in Mansfield, he was the son of Ralph William and Lavonne Iona (Robinson) Rogers.

Ralph was a graduate of Madison High School and soon after graduation joined the United States Navy where he proudly served for about four years. He then enlisted with the United States Air Force where he served an additional five years. Ralph then went to work for Tappan in Mansfield and eventually returned to work as a civilian with the Defense Contract Management Agency.

He is survived by two sons, Gordon Rogers and Greg Rogers; and a brother, Stan Rogers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Pastor Matthew Pond. Military honors will be performed by the US Air Force and Richland County Veterans Burial Detail at the funeral home immediately following the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday.
