

Born September 10, 1929 in Paterson, New Jersey, he was the son of Frank and Celina (Stoeblen) Croker. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge in 1953, Ray returned to New Jersey where he was self-employed for nearly all his career. Ray owned a gas station, a trucking company, and a garden center and then finished his working years in New Jersey as a fuel truck driver. Upon his retirement, Ray relocated to Florida with his wife of 70 years, Doris (Hubel) Croker, where they enjoyed 30 years in the Port Charlotte area. During retirement, Ray golfed daily in his men’s golf league, and also enjoyed golfing with Doris. He was also an avid reader.
Ray is survived by his son, Raymond (Karen) Croker; his daughter, Colleen (Steve) Barlow; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan Farrell) Croker, Lisa (Mark) Caruso, Nicholas (Andrea) Barlow, and Cassandra Barlow; his great-grandchildren, Blake Barlow, Paige Barlow, Hadley Caruso, and Brynlee Caruso. In addition to his wife and his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Croker; four brothers, Frank, Vince, Bob and Chuck; and a sister, Eileen Bracco.
There will be no services at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Croker family.
