Rebecca Young

Rebecca Marie Young, 60, of Mansfield, died May 22, 2014. Born December 26, 1953 in Seattle, WA, she was the daughter of Robert Bruce and Shirley Jean (Reeder) Redman. Rebecca grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. A feisty woman, she had a great sense of humor. Skilled in knitting, crocheting, and sewing, she enjoyed such things in her free time. She also like to play cards, but it was always her rules and her way! Rebecca worked for Verizon Wireless in Marion and Jong Mea restaurant on the square in Mansfield. Above all else, she was a loving woman who was loved by all.

Surviving are her husband of over 25 years, George W. Young of Mansfield; sons, Jason Sexton and his family and Brent Sexton and his family, all of Mansfield; sister, Kathy Pfahler; and special nephew, Ryan Kennard and his family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Redman; and grandmother, Mary Conrad.

Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Mark Dettmer, will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
