

Rev. Richard Franklin Danison, age 65, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 5, 2001. He was born June 10, 1935 in Mansfield to the late Leonard W. and Mary M. McCormick Danison and has been a resident most of his life. Mr. Danison was a retired minister from the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a member of the Trimble Rd. Baptist Bible Church and a member of D.A.V., N.R.A., Am Vets post #26, American Legion post #16, and Worldwide Printing Ministry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a disabled American Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, June Marlene Edwards Danison, of Mansfield; two sons and daughter-in-law, Andrew F. Danison of Halifax, Virginia and David Eugene and Frances Danison of Mansfield; four grandsons, Robby, Joshua, Carl and Caleb; four sisters, Fern Sprunger of Mansfield, Marguarite Cales of Mansfield, Lois Booze and Maxine Mayfield, both of Bend, Oregon; two brothers, Louis Danison of Sacramento, California and Leonard Danison of Bend, Oregon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ed Mack and Tom J. Danison; and a grandson, Cody.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday, April 9, 2001 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at 11:00 at Trimble Rd. Baptist Bible Church conducted by Pastor John A.Wiseman of Trimble Rd. Baptist Bible Church, Pastor Dale Adkins of Mansfield Baptist Temple, and Pastor Cecil Newton of Grace Baptist Church, Oxford, N.C.
