

RheaBelle Hartman, 91, of Mansfield, OH died October 29, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1922 in Shelby, Ohio to Merrill C. and Myrtle Molder Barnhart. She was a resident of Richland County most of her life. Mrs. Hartman was faithful to her church where she taught Sunday School and also led Children’s Chapel for 20 years, as well as doing many yearly projects for others. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and a member of Eastern Star Chapter 17, FOREMs Club, AARP, and PERT. She was a graduate of Shelby High School, class of 1939, Mansfield Business College and the first class of Practical Nursing in Mansfield in 1965, graduating with honors. She retired from Mansfield Municipal Court of the Clerks Office after 25 years of service. RheaBelle was a loving mother, grandmother and always a friend to those in need.
She is survived by two grandsons, J. Douglas and Mary Barr of Dublin, Ohio and Rev. Dr. Andy and Karen Barr of Pensacola, FL; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas Barr of Dublin, and David, Victoria, Monica, and Nathan Barr of Pensacola, FL; daughter in-law, Beverly Hartman of Lexington; son in-law, James Barr of Mansfield; sister, Ardelle and Floyd Rietveld of Dayton; and brother, Tom Barnhart of Michigan.
RheaBelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russel, in 1980; daughter, Mary Ellen Barr; son, Timothy Hartman; brothers, Henry Barnhart, John Barnhart, and Merrill Jr. Barnhart; and sisters, Loella Weddell and Bonnie Ginter.
Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2-5P.M. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4th at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
