Richard C. Boylan, 76, of Mansfield, died Wednesday March 13, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Boylan was born January 10, 1926 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He ran Boylans Market for 25 years at corner of Sturges and Grover. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Mr. Boylan was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dennis and Marie Boylan of Hudson, Ohio; and Douglas Boylan of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Patrick, Kelly and Michael Boylan and friend, Dorothy Boylan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Boylan; and one brother, Carl Boylan.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday March 15, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to a 2:30 p.m. funeral service, which will be held on Saturday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley. Military graveside services will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ.
