
Richard Earhart, 63, of Ontario died Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness. Mr. Earhart was born December 24, 1938 in Ontario, Ohio living in the area all of his life. He was retired from Wonder Bread after 30 years and was employed part time with Sears. He was a member of Woodville Grace Brethren Church. He coached Little League and American Legion Baseball for 15 years and restored antique cars. Mr. Earhart loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He was a veteran serving in the Air National Guard Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Earhart of Ontario; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher & Rebecca Earhart of Lexington and Kenneth & Barbara Earhart of Ontario; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Robert Doerr of Wooster; five grandchildren, Joshua Earhart of South Carolina, Lindsay and Austin Doerr of Wooster, and Ryan and Katie Earhart of Ontario; two brothers and sisters-in-law, his twin Robert & Shirley Earhart of Apple Valley, Ohio and William & Marilyn Earhart of Galion; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley & Robert Schoenman and Jean & Harold Cotter, all of Ontario and Mary Lou & Stanley Thompson of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Kathleen Wibrew Earhart; and four brothers, Charles, Scott, Thomas 'Jack' and James Earhart.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services to be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Steve Kern, Rev. Robert Doerr and Rev. Gene Witzky. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
