Richard Garver

Richard E. ''Dick'' Garver, 78 of Lakeview, Ohio died August 30, 2000 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio following a brief illness. Mr. Garver was born August 27, 1922 in Mansfield, Ohio residing in the area until 1945. He moved to Marion, Ohio where he lived from 1945 to 1983 before moving to Lakeview, Ohio. He worked at Floyd Browne & Associates for a number of years as a Design Technician in Marion, Ohio. He was a member of Young at Heart Senior Citizens and also delivered ''Meals on Wheels''. Mr. Garver was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia H. and Daniel Wise of Marion, Ohio; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Raymond E. Garver of Marion, Ohio; Paul L. and Beverly Garver of Mansfield; and Larry M. Garver of Marion; and three grandchildren, Marsha Wise; Brandon Garver and Ryan Garver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Henry and Martha S. Garver; and his wife, Mary Jane Frost Garver.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Saturday September 2, 2000 from 5-8 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
