Richard C. Itschner, 68, of Nova, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his residence. Born July 25, 1940, in Cleveland, he was the son of Daniel and L. Jean Lanning Itschner. He was self-employed in construction and was a Revolutionary War reenactor with the Delaware Reginment. Richard was an avid boater and was restoring a Lyman Boat.
He is survived by his wife, Davia Itschner of Nova; children, Michael and Ann Itschner and Elizabeth and Jason Edwards, all of Loundonville, and Richard Itschner of Nova; six grandchildren; sister Barbara Holton of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ashland County Cancer Association, 1200 E. Main St., Ashland, or Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mr. Itschner.
