Richard "Dick" Frederick Wald, 71, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at his residence. Born December 24, 1937, in Mansfield, he was the son of Fred and Christine Bieber Wald. Dick attended Madison High School and was a self employed brick mason having worked with his father. He enjoyed sports, especially watching football.
Surviving are two sisters, Barbara Ronald Barr of Mansfield and Nanci Robert Riggle of Chino Valley, AZ; a niece, Lisa Rick Hammon of Mesa, AZ; five nephews, Jim Riggle of Mansfield, Jeff Riggle of Denver, CO, Jay Barr of Mansfield, Ron Sue Barr of Mansfield and Ken Webb of Mansfield; and a host of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Vicki Webb.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Mansfield Cemetery conducted by Pastor Aaron Rose. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Richard "Dick" Wald.
