Robert "Bob" Beard

Bob was a graduate of Ontario High School. He worked in the computer programming field and was a consultant for The Limited, Richland Bank, Ford, IBM, and other major corporations. Bob's world revolved around his son, Jason, and his legacy will live on through the lessons he taught him. Bob enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, and making wine. He was an NRA instructor, and shooting was a big hobby. He also enjoyed tinkering with antiques, camping and barbecuing.

Bob is survived by his son, Jason Beard; his aunt, Pauline Thacker; his good friends, Jo Jo, Eddie, Terry, and Spencer; all of his friends at the Shelby Eagles, Moose, Legion, and VFW; and the many other friends in his life he made along the way.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Beard; and his aunt, Irene Goddard.

A gathering celebrating the life of Bob will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 46 East Main Street, Shelby, OH 44875. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
