Robert Bucher

Robert J. Bucher, age 82, of Mansfield, died November 6, 2000 at Crystal Care Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mr. Bucher was born October 5, 1918 in Mansfield and has been a resident all of his life. He retired from Globe Steel after 40 years, was a member of First Friends Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Suzette 'Suzy' and William Eyerly of Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. and Linda Bucher of Loudonville; one brother, Rex Bucher of Mansfield; two sisters; Delee Theim of Mansfield and Jean McCaulley of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Emilie Eyerly, Carrie Eyerly, Bethanie Eyerly, Tyler Eyerly and Abbey Bucher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lois Green Bucher; his parents, Benjamin J. Bucher and Hazel Herron Bucher; one brother, Gaylord Bucher; one sister, Janet McKinley.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, November 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Richard Pass. Military graveside services will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
