He is survived by and was married to his beloved wife, Mary, for 65 years and they had three children, Nick, Connie, and Danny. He had six grandchildren, his youngest, John, whom had lived with them for several years; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Snelson.
He had many experiences in this life along with being married, working at the Ohio Brass, being a part time farmer with both of his sons. He was always working on something around the house. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He enjoyed sports and spent many hours with his son, Nick, watching a game and getting thoroughly upset when his team screwed up or the refs were uncooperative. His greatest ambition in these last few years was to spend as much time and teach his grandson John everything that he could. They were always working on something, or as John would say quite often, he sat there and told John what to do. He Loved the Lord very much and knew that this was just his temporary home. He is now resting with his son Danny; his mother and father; and many others who went before him.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2019, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Paul Staton will follow at 3:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date.
