

Bob was born July 19, 1938 to the late Charles Lehnhart and Mary (Harbaugh) Lehnhart. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High in 1956 he began working at Ohio Brass. He worked for over thirty years at Peabody Barnes as a pump repair technician, retiring in 2002 from Minnich Manufacturing. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Liederkranz, Elks and Amvets. Bob was active in several golf and bowling leagues. He was a loving father, involved in his children’s activities both as a coach and spectator. He later became the number one fan of his grandsons, never missing a game. He especially enjoyed following their traveling teams. Bob was also an avid Cleveland sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn (Robinson) Lehnhart; his children, Robert A. Lehnhart, Linda (Lehnhart) and Tony Simmering; five grandsons, Christopher Lehnhart, Braden Lehnhart, Tyler and Grace Simmering, Travis and Vicki Simmering and Todd Simmering; and sisters, June and Bob Brauchler and Joanne Lehnhart. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lou Williams. He will also be missed by his canine friend, Chip.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Dr. Pentti Maki and Rev. Richard Beal. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
